Cultural Evolution

We are living during challenging times, in an increasingly complex interdependent world immersed in a self-centered narrative that promotes and perpetuates competition, exploitation, and separatism. Our systems are fractured, they undervalue wellbeing, and struggle to serve the purposes for which they were created. Nothing less than a values-based cultural evolution is required to shift our way of doing and being, so we can address the profound changes needed to better serve humanity. We need to shift the focus from me to We.

How Do We Become a Catalyst of the Cultural Evolution?

Mindfulness-based practices can support this shift. Mindfulness is a state of mind and a life practice. It is an intentional, open, curious, and kind relationship with the present moment. At the heart of mindfulness is non-judgment and acceptance of everything as it is. Mindfulness-based practices are not only generative, transformational, and available, they are necessary if we are to build the inner strengths needed to create a self and a society that is more compassionate and collaborative. Yet, no single segment of society alone can provide the momentum needed to transform our systems and institutions.

Only through collaboration can we hope to be effective.

Strengthen your capacity for change.

Capacity requires cultivating awareness and applying it within the space of the collective, harnessing the generative capacity of ‘We’, and putting our collective energy into action based on shared beliefs, values, and intentions. Every person who has or wants to cultivate a mindfulness practice can be a leader of change. Practicing mindfulness builds and strengthens our capacity for awareness, openness, and compassion. Doing ‘inner work’, strengthening our inner awareness, not only fosters our own wellbeing, it fosters our ability to do the ‘outer work’ of social change.

Growing awareness fosters the capacity to lead in a new way, not from in front or behind, but from the inside out.
